If it does not, then MSI may need to provide you with a newer version of the driver that is compatible with the current release of Win 10. Reboot and see if that restored the sound. It sounds like your audio was broken by the latest Win 10 update.ġ - Download the latest Realtek HD audio driver for your GP73 8RE from its download page here.Ģ - Uninstall the Nahimic software, if it's installed.ģ - Launch the Windows Device Manager, open the properties for your sound device, select its "Driver" tab and uninstall any driver that's there.Ĥ - Still at the sound device "Driver" tab of the Device Manager, use the "Update/Install Driver" button, navigate to the driver you downloaded, and install it. I?ve checked all windows updates are currentĪt this point I just don?t know what else to do. I?ve tried doing a system restore prior to 29Apr however there was a windows corral update I downloaded last night when checking for updates and it won?t allow me to restore earlier than 30 Apr. I?ve tried running audio troubleshooter and it detects nothing is wrong. Tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting laptop. I have removed the high definition audio drivers and then check for hardware changes and it immediately puts them back under system devices with the same error code. However I can find the drivers under apps and features. The download goes through install wizard and restarts my laptop but they don?t appear under device manager. I have tried downloading from MSI Realtek drivers and it won?t take them. I checked device manager and noticed 2 things:Ģ) high definition audio controller was under system device and not sound controllers and had a yellow triangle icon with a code 10 error. Highlighting it showed that no audio device installed. The other night i when it turned my laptop on I noticed a ?red x? on my sound icon. I have a MSI GP73 Leopard 8RE laptop with a Nvidia 1060, i7 core, 500gb ssd, 1tb Hdd, 16gb Ram.
